Breeden, manager of the Groceteria yesterday afternoon regarding “dollar Day” that will be held in Wilmington on May 9th. According to the story brought back to the office by the latest addition to the Star’s staff, Mr. Breeden was out at the time the call was made. Raccoon’s Body is Cause of Lsyte Scare Sheriff Jackson, accompanied by two deputies and newspaper men, yester day afternoon investigated the report made to him that it was suspected that a body had been concealed in a pond off the Carolina beach road. Upon arrival the ground around the pond was searched and no traces of clothes reported to have been found were seen and no odor was noticed at the pond at that time. The sheriff then went to talk to one of the farmers living' in the neighbor hood and learned that the "body” had been located and removed from the pond, said body having been that of a ‘coon.” NIECES OF A.
